Founded in honor of Elizabeth Bruce Robertson Mayer, our grandmother, a passionate philanthropist*. Each of her names was given to her by someone else; she received these gifts and made them her own. Every name carries meaning, passed down through generations of family history—her Mother’s name, her Father’s name, her Maiden name, her Husband’s name—converging to form the woman she has become and the legacy of love she leaves: that we ourselves are more beautiful for knowing her and being in her company.

Our grandmother has taught us, through her walk with God, that beauty is an act of love, and is powerful! Inspired by her faith, she cultivates beauty wherever she goes. In a world often gone wrong, she has taught us to see the beauty that surrounds us in the everyday, ordinary, usualness as intimate, immediate, and accessible expressions of Love. We have seen how art can create spaces of joy that uplift the everyday.
